Terms of Purchase

These terms and other terms shown throughout the website (which may be item specific) are agreed to and willingly accepted by you when you submit your order

  PRICING: Although every attempt is made to keep prices up to date and current, occasionally prices and descriptions are updated by our manufactures without notification to us. This change will/may affect your price. So if a price is required to go up, we will notify you before shipping you the product. This is very rare, but because we try to keep prices low for you, occasional price increases may make it impossible for us to sell the product without losing money.  We are not responsible for the claims made by manufactures.

  ADDITIONAL TERMS: Important information is displayed throughout the web site (i.e. core charges, additional charges and other items). Please read the information carefully. It is your responsibility to read and understand them. Please call us with any questions before placing an order.

   IMPROPER SHIPPING INFORMATION: Shipping carriers charge us for correcting shipping addresses. Providing an incorrect address may result in additional shipping charges placed on your credit card. Be sure to provide us with the correct address when placing your order. UPS will not deliver to a PO Box.

  SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION: At our discretion we may place signature verification on a delivery with the shipper. This may be done in situation where the shipping address does not verify with the shipper, or where the shipping address does not match the billing address.  The charge will be the amount the shipper charges for the service. Currently $5.50 but may change at anytime.

  CANCELLATIONS: We are more than happy to cancel free of charge any order as long as any of the part(s) have not already been processed. Processed means the part(s) are already on the way to us or you.  In most instances orders are processed with our distributors within 1 hour of the order being placed. We can not guarantee free cancellations when more than 1 hour has transpired after the order is placed for this reason.  Once the distributor has processed the order,  orders can not be canceled without incurring a restock fee to cover the back and forth shipping we've incurred, and in many instances the restock fee we will pay for sending the part(s) back to the distributor. An easy way to make sure you are not caught paying a cancellation or restock fee is to simply make sure you want / need the part(s) before you order. For obvious reasons, we can not be responsible for any changes after the order is placed and processed. Controlling needless costs such as these is the reason we can maintain the super low prices that we continually offer.

  BACKORDERS: Unfortunately, at times a product may be backordered at the manufacturer level. When this happens we generally get an estimated time when the backorder will be filled which we will attempt to inform you of. Once we inform you of the backorder, we will not continue to update backorder status. Please contact us if you need updated status. If the part has not been canceled or exchanged by you, we will automatically ship you the item once we receive it.  If the manufacturer is unable to produce the part, or fulfill there shipping date estimate, there is nothing we can do since we do not manufacture the parts. In some cases we have alternative sources to pull parts from, we will check those before we contact you of any backorders.

 
DELIVERY DELAYS: PCS is not responsible for delays in delivery and/or failure to make delivery or any costs incurred as result thereof. Shipments may be held for shipment until all parts are ready to ship, unless previous arrangements have been made. If partial shipments are requested, additional shipping costs may be incurred.

  INTERNATIONAL, HAWAII, ALASKA / APO ORDERS Terms:

  •   Shipping Charges: Pacific Coast Star (PCS) cannot control international shipping rates. Although we are happy to ship orders internationally, you are responsible for the shipping charges. ALL international orders will require additional shipping charges which are not calculated in our online shopping cart. If you need shipping costs, contact us before you place the order. We will be happy to provide an estimate of the shipping costs. Once an order is placed, requests for shipping costs must be made within 24 hours of at the order, or customer assumes acceptance to any shipping costs charged. When a request for shipping cost is made within 24 hours, PCS will respond with an estimate of shipping costs. If you do not accept the shipping charges you must notify us within 24 hours or the order will ship, and the customer accepts any and all costs. Once a shipment has been tagged, shipping charges WILL NOT be reimbursed. Items marked Free Shipping or have Pre Set shipping rates are for the 48 contiguous US states only. Any shipping charges shown at checkout will be applied towards international shipping cost.

  •   Liability: PCS offers international shipping as a convenience for international customers, but all risk is assumed by the customer, including but not limited to total loss of order, since we cannot control the reliability or integrity of international shipping carriers. If special carriers must be used please contact us before placing your order.

  •   International Returns: Includes items that require core returns and/or part returns. DO NOT send packages "duty or tax collect" to PCS. Packages sent that way will result in a charge to your card for any and all fees charged to PCS, and are subject to an minimum $10 processing fee. ALL Duties and taxes are to be paid by shipper (you) unless specifically pre-approved by PCS in writing. See RETURN/EXCHANGES for additional info below.

  RETURNS/EXCHANGES: Items returned must be pre-authorized. Returned items are subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee or exchange for store credit only. Returned items must be undamaged, unused and 100% salable condition or they will be refused and returned to the sender.  Installed items are not returnable except for manufacturer defects, which will be inspected and exchanged for the same item.  Items such as mirrors, grips, etc, are not sent for you to "try or check them out", and are subject to a 30% restock fee. All unused returns must be received within 30 days of shipment day from PCS. Any Shipping costs will not be refunded. Shipping costs incurred to PCS on items with designated "Free Shipping" will not be refunded. Package Discount requires keeping both/all items returning either item will result in loss of discount.
    PCS is not responsible for damages during shipping. In the event a shipment arrives in a damaged carton or package, client must file a claim directly to the carrier. A damaged product is not to be returned to PCS with out pre-authorization. Client also accepts responsibility for any and all consequential shipping charges. Customer agrees to inspect all merchandise upon receipt. Any discrepancies, defects, or shortages must be reported to PCS within 48 hours after receipt. Failure to comply with this policy will disqualify any replacement of product damaged in shipment. Merchandise that has been installed, modified, or damaged due to improper installation will not be accepted for return. Custom orders are non-cancelable and non-refundable upon beginning of product manufacturing.

  Items sold on this website will alter the manufacturers designed configuration/performance of your vehicle. Making modifications to your motorcycle is done solely at the purchasers' risk. These modifications can alter the appearance of your motorcycle, the handling of your motorcycle, the performance of your motorcycle and other attributes. By installing any of the products the purchaser is assuming any risk, injury or accident that may/will be incurred. Proper installation and tuning is solely the purchasers risk and responsibility. No credit will be issued for labor or other cost incurred beyond the cost of the original product. Client understands that PCS accessories or products are not DOT approved (unless specifically stated otherwise). Products are for custom application and intended as customizing material for shows and displays. Installation of our accessories may be in violation of FMVSS Standard 108 and other federal and or state laws. Customer accepts responsibility to check that the installation of product does not violate any legislation. It is the responsibility of the user to determine the suitability of the product purchased. Further, the user assumes all legal risk, personal injury risk and liability, as well as all other obligations and risks associated with the use of any PCS product. All products must be installed by an experienced, reputable, certified motorcycle mechanic. PCS is not responsible for incidental costs and damages, including labor, parts, paint, chrome etc. incurred due to failure of products, improper installation, incompatibility with other motorcycle components and accessories, or unauthorized repairs. The manner of use of PCS products as well as the manner in which products are maintained is the sole responsibility of the user. It is the intention of PCS to provide products for off-road use on custom and show motorcycles.

 
Title to and possession of all goods passes to purchaser upon delivery to carrier from PCS. A shipment notification will be sent to the e-mail address provided to us. Therefore it is the purchaser's responsibility to provide an accurate e-mail address. A delivery date will be included with that notification (provided the carrier offers that service). It is the purchaser's responsibility to receive the product from the carrier, and provide any signatures for proof of delivery. The purchaser assumes any responsibility for receipt of the delivery. If you are not there to receive the shipment YOU must make arrangements with the carrier to reschedule delivery.  If the purchaser requires signature guarantee of delivery, you must provide that request to us in writing before the item ships. If no request is made in writing to PCS for signature verification of receipt, all products are deemed received intact upon carriers declaration of delivery with or without a signature.

 
WARRANTIES: All warranties will be satisfied directly by the manufacturer of their products according to their set terms. PCS will not handle warranty issues for products we do not manufacture. Please contact us if you need the manufacturers contact information.

 
CUSTOM ORDERS.
Custom orders are non refundable.

  PCS DEALERS: Dealers of PCS Products are resellers of our products. PCS makes no guarantee or endorsement of any of our resellers. It is your responsibility to research the reseller before using them for purchasing product, or taking your bike to them for service or maintenance.

  PURCHASES MADE BY CHECK: When you provide us a check as a payment form which is returned due to insufficient funds, stop payment, or closed accounts, you authorize us to transfer funds from your account a fee for the recovery of those funds. These fees are incurred to us from the Federal Automated Recovery Systems for the funds recovery process. Any and all incurred costs will be collected from you.  Multiple charges may be incurred by you if additional attempts are needed to recover the funds. We are not responsible for any fees taken from you by your financial institution.  Further action may require accounts be sent to collections.

  CHARGEBACKS: Pacific Coast Star does not tolerate credit card fraud. All fraud, without exception, will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. In addition, we will pursue civil legal action seeking any loss of income related to the fraud, including business, legal fees, research costs, employee down time and loss of revenues.
   Pacific Coast Star considers credit card chargebacks to be fraud if you have made no reasonable effort to work with us to resolve any problems with your purchase, you can contact us via phone and/or by email. All frivolous chargebacks not only cost our employees time away from our usual and customary matters of conducting normal business, but cost us money, therefore: You agree that if you, the buyer, choose to do business with Pacific Coast Star, and you file a chargeback with your credit card company, and you do not win the charge back argument, you agree to pay us $150 for our time responding to the matter. You, the buyer, authorize us to charge this amount to your credit card. If this charge is rejected, Pacific Coast Star will pursue legal action to recoup losses for our time associated with responding to the chargeback in addition to any other fees explained above. You agree to reimburse us or any representative we may appoint for any legal expenses your actions may make us incur. We take fraud seriously. If any provision of this Agreement is deemed illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The waiver of a breach hereunder does not waive any other or subsequent breach.
   In the event that you win the charge back with your credit card company, and have not returned our goods, Pacific Coast Star will attempt to recover fraudulently disputed charges plus additional costs via a third-party collection agency and your account will be reported to all credit bureaus as a delinquent collection account. This may severely damage your credit rating for at least the next seven (7) years. At this point, we will no longer accept a return of the merchandise as settlement for the debt and will only accept payment in full. In addition to this, Pacific Coast Star will file a report with your local police or sheriff’s department, and file a mail fraud complaint with the United States Postal Inspection Service. Conviction on Credit Card Fraud Carries Penalties of 10 Years Imprisonment and/or a $10,000 Fine! U.S.C. Title 18, Section 3056, Subsection (b), specifically authorizes the United States Secret Service to detect and arrest any person who violates federal criminal laws relating to credit card fraud and related activity in connection with computers and/or access devices.
   The customer must attempt to contact Pacific Coast Star and return any and all merchandise to Pacific Coast Star before attempting a chargeback. NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

Privacy Policy

  Pacific Coast Star LLC (PCS) is committed to respecting the privacy rights of our customers and all visitors to our web site. We take this matter very seriously, and have instituted this Privacy Statement in order to explain its privacy practices on this web site.

  PCS is the sole owner of the information collected on pacificcoaststar.com.  PCS collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on pacificcoaststar.com, as described below.  

  If you purchase a product or service from us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, phone number and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date and CVV code).  This information is collected via a secure data source. This can be verified by the lock icon on your browser being shown as locked.

  PCS uses this information for security purposes, billing purposes and to process your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we may use this information to contact you. We will use the email address you provide to send your order confirmations and other communication directly pertaining to an order you have placed. We also may use this information to provide you with customer service and to send you information about products and services offered by us.  We do not provide or sell this information to any outside source except as necessary to complete the order (for example; a drop shipped item).

 

Emissions Notice

  Disclaimer: Emission-related parts, devices, or systems for non-OEM emission control system equipped motorcycles, as well as slip-on mufflers that mount downstream of and which do not inhibit the original design, function, or performance of the original emission control system, are considered Replacement Parts by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and are therefore exempt from prohibitions of the California Code of Regulations Section 27156 by reason of Section 2222(j). CARB does not, however, permit the use of aftermarket emission-related parts, devices, or systems that alter the performance of OEM emission-related devices unless CARB has issued an Executive Order, other than on racing vehicles on closed courses. More emission-related information is available at www.arb.ca.gov .

Products sold on this website may be designed, manufactured, intended, and sold for use on competition vehicles that are operated only on closed course racing circuits unless otherwise noted, and use of the same on public roads or lands may be a violation of local, state, and/or federal laws. By offering products for sale, Pacific Coast Star makes no representation or warranty as to whether the items offered for sale are legal for the use for which they are purchased.
